Ready? Follow these three steps

1. Assess your Home. Have an Energy Upgrade California certified contractor do an energy audit of your home to identify insulation deficiencies, air leaks, duct leakage, HVAC efficiency, and other energy-wasting problems.

2. Upgrade your Home. Based on the assessment, have your Energy Upgrade California certified contractor make energy-saving improvements to reduce energy use and costs. Rebates for your expenses, adding up to as much as $4,500 (rebates vary per county), are available for those who act soon.

3. Share your Data. Your home will be more comfortable, quieter, and cost less to heat and cool. To encourage others to invest in the future as you have, CHERP will collect energy data on your home and publicize the savings in energy use, cost, and carbon emissions.
