Partner Student Highlight: Adam Allen, Program Director, Improve Your Tomorrow

Meet Adam

Meet Adam Allen, Program Director for Improve Your Tomorrow (IYT), a California-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering young men of color to overcome barriers to higher education.

Adam earned a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership at CLU and his capstone project centered on improving mentor retention in IYT programs. These mentors are critical for many students who rely on them to navigate educational hurdles, access resources, and stay on track toward enrolling in higher education.

Adam valued the support and flexibility he received throughout his CLU experience, which allowed him to balance his professional responsibilities with academic pursuits. He emphasizes that CLU values like Collaboration and Mindfulness have become guiding principles in his work, enhancing his ability to lead diverse teams and build meaningful connections.
